Located in a neighbourhood square within a large council housing estate close to Regent’s Park, this scheme aims to replace an existing doctors’ surgery with an expanded facility that would also include a community centre and a partly sunken and hence more private treatment centre for young people suffering from mental health problems. Using a system of cut-and-fill for the park landscape which mirrors the earlier process that created the nearby sunken mainline railway line that runs into Euston Station, the design envisages a complex layered terrain mixed with three distinct pavilions and also a range of play-spaces for all ages.
